Welcome To The Harvest

The Harvest is a contemporary church designed to reach the lost and unchurched people of today.

We are founded on the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. Our theme verse is John 4:35 where Jesus said “Do not say there are still four months and then comes the harvest. Look at the fields for they are already white to be harvested.”

Good Morning,

Last night's Christmas party was a great! Thank you to all who came and made such a great evening. This morning Terri and I read from Luke 1:26-28.

"In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel when to her and said, Greetings you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

This is God's setting the stage for His Son Jesus to come. He gave another miraculous conception and pregnancy to Zachariah and Elizabeth. In their old age God gave them a baby boy to be named John. This was none other than John the Baptist who would be the forerunner of Jesus. He would prepare the way for Jesus. He would announce His ministry and appearing. His life was totally designed to do this. His whole existence was about this. We can see God's hand in so many things, but one thing for sure was how Elizabeth was already six months pregnant with John the Baptist before Mary became pregnant with Jesus. This was so John would have a head start. He was the "Forerunner". The other thing is what the Angel Gabriel said to Mary. He told her first of all "You are highly favored, The Lord is with you." Mary was a simple Jewish girl who was probably not popular or prestigious and yet she was favored by God to bring His only begotten Son into the world.
I would like to submit we are all Highly Favored because God sent His Son to us. God loves us so much that He gave us His Son. The greatest blessing and benefit you have as a member of the Human Race is that The Almighty God of the Universe knows you and you are popular with Him. You are favored by Him. Pursue Christ! Walk in your favor today. Let no one or nothing take you down because You are Highly Favored by God.

Be Blessed This Christmas!

Good Morning everybody,

Terri and I read from I John 1:9. This is a verse we all probably use often.

God says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"

I am reminded of this verse every time I fall short of God's Glory! Thank Him for His grace and mercy. I am so thankful for His love for me and us. Actually, this is a Christmas verse because what Jesus came to do is what makes this promise real.

God says first of all "If we confess our sins". This is the condition we must meet. When you get down to it, this is all we can do about out sins. Confess them. This word confess means that we agree with God. It actually is a Greek word that means to "Say the Same thing". In other words, we agree with God about what He has convicted us about. He says, "You did wrong..." You say, yes, you're right and I am deeply sorry. I confess that I am guilty of that wrong. I plead guilty and throw myself on your mercy. Doe's this mean all we need to do is confess? Yes, but just in case the enemy is trying to get you to abuse this benefit, remember this is probably one of the most disrespectful things we could do to the grace of God. A sincere apology means that I am going to try not to go there ever again. Try to move away from the sins you've been confessing. Doing that demonstrates the victory He gives you over that area of failure.

Second, God says; "I am faithful". This means, God will do what He has promised He would do. He has promised the forgiveness of our sins. If we come to Him with a sincere confession. He is faithful to forgive. That is why we should walk in freedom from guilt or shame or defeat. He is faithful to keep His promises. He has promised forgiveness and He will deliver!

Third He says; "And Just to Forgive". He is "Justified" in doing this because the price has been paid for it. This is not just a thoughtless declaration. It is not an acquittal without cost. God is justified because the price and penalty for our sins has been paid for in the precious blood of our savior Jesus Christ. This is Done Deal!

I'm telling you friends, this is who you are and what you have in God through His Son Jesus Christ. Let Him release you today of all those dark things in your heart and life. He is faithful and just to do it!

I'm Blessed in This!
I'm Blessed in Him!
