Welcome To The Harvest

The Harvest is a contemporary church designed to reach the lost and unchurched people of today.

We are founded on the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. Our theme verse is John 4:35 where Jesus said “Do not say there are still four months and then comes the harvest. Look at the fields for they are already white to be harvested.”

Good Wednesday Everybody!

I hope all the Harvest Family is planning to attend the Home Groups tonight. Also, Teens and Children meet on Campus starting at 6. Drop your kids off at The Worship Center for supper. Then they'll go into their groups. Parents and adults are all encouraged to attend their groups at Phil and Daphne Edward's House, Pati Anderson's House, Shawn and Izzy Nightingale's house, and Christian and Candace Tedder's house.

Terri and I were blessed this morning to read I Peter 5:6. "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time."

The Lord always blesses humility. Being humble to God means that we are see Him as the Mighty one and we see ourselves as the ones who need Him. None of us are self sufficient though many of us feel we are at times. I want to tell you every time we express this self sufficiency we are on literally all alone. God cannot deal with that. We need Him for everything. He is the one who loves us and is willing to help us in all our ways. Humble is not to be confused with Helpless. It isn't that we are helpless, it is that we are dependent on Him for whatever we need. Notice the closing statement in this verse is "That He may exalt you in due time." Due time means when the time is right. Don't worry about being lifted up yourself. Let Him do that when the time is right. He will lift you up in due time.
You know, I don't claim to know very much. But one thing I think I know very well is how much I need God! Turn to Him now before any more time passes or before anything else happens. Humble yourself under His mighty hand and He will lift you up when the time is right.

Blessed in His Faithfulness

Hello Everybody, I hope things are going well for you all this week. I am so blessed to see how God is raising up more servants in the House of The Harvest! We are blessed to see many of you standing up to "fill in the gaps" where some have been absent for various reasons. I would like to ask us all to consider ways we can serve in this ministry and give. We are so challenged right now! But, "If God be for us, who can be against us!"
This morning Terri and I read from Psalm 1:1-2. "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2) But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and in His Law he meditates day and night."

So, here is a word to us to tell us where we should all hang out. Hang out with God and the things of God. Don't hang out with those who scorn the things of God or His Word. We should meditate on His Word DAY and NIGHT. Sounds a little bit fanatical but the fact is, this is how much we need His Word and His Ways! ALL THE TIME! I gotta tell you all... Right now, I feel such a need to go off somewhere and spend an extended period alone with God. There are so many questions! There are so many Sources of Stress! Life gets so overwhelming! We need to sit by the river of life and let God pour in to us!
Take some time to be with Him today. You'll be glad you did. Jesus said, "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." You need to know what He says about your "this"...

Blessed in Him!

Hey Everybody,

Another wonderful day at The Harvest! Praise God for His Wonderful Works among men! (See Psalm 107) Today Terri and I read from a couple wonderful passages.

(Luke 1:37) "For with God nothing will be impossible"

"Nuph" Said? It's the truth. Whatever you're doing right now, remember "With God, nothing will be impossible". If you think you can't make it another day on that job you hate... WITH GOD, NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE. If you don't think you'll make it through this month of bills... WITH GOD, NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE. Get it? I know you do. Apply this to every part of your life and watch Him begin to move through your issues!

The other passage is like this one. Colossians 2:9-10 NLV "For Christ is not only "God Like", He is God in human flesh. When you have Christ, you are complete. He is the head over all leaders and powers."

There are those who have an inadequate view of who Jesus is. He is not just like God. He IS GOD! When He came to this world He was literally God in flesh. He came to be your savior. That's how much he loves you. I love that part that says, "When you have Christ you are complete". Oh and by the way, "He is head over all leaders and powers." There is no one like Him.
When we receive Christ we literally tap in to the unlimited resource of God. He has all power. Nothing is impossible with Him. He is head over all powers. And In Him we are complete!

Blessed in Him!
